Susanna releases new song "Burial"
Susanna has released new track "Burial" as the second glimpse of her forthcoming album Baudelaire & Piano.
"Burial" lands after the album opening track "The Dancing Snake", which was released earlier this month.
Susanna says of her new outing, ""Burial" was one of the first poems I re-worked for this project - I am deeply fascinated by the thrilling images Baudelaire is able to provide with such few words. A haunting short story."
Susanna's forthcoming album Baudelaire & Piano was recorded at Stockholm's Atlantis Studio, and is inspired by French poet Charles Baudelaire. It's also Susanna's first solo album since 2018's Go Dig My Grave.
Discussing the new LP, Susanna says, "I wanted to approach this material in an almost dogmaCc way. To present the songs in a naked, stripped-down form, alone at the piano. These poems have so many layers and contain such rich expanding emotions to me."
