Stormzy hits the number one spot with his debut album Gang Signs & Prayer
Stormzy's debut album Gang Signs & Prayer has been crowned number one album in the UK.
"It hasn’t sunk in yet," says Stormzy. "Honestly, I wish I could take every person who bought and streamed the album out with me, have dinner with them, dedicate a whole night to them. I don’t take your support for granted. I can’t thank you enough."
The race to the coveted top spot is described as "one of the closest chart battles of recent times", but the London MC came out on top, beating Rag 'N' Bone Man into second place, with combined sales of 69,000.
