Stormzy has his own mission in the new Watch Dogs: Legion game
Ubisoft has confirmed that Stormzy will have his own mission in the upcoming Watch Dogs: Legion game dropping next month.
Watch Dogs: Legion will be the third instalment of the Watch Dogs series, and is set in an open-world dystopian surveillance state of London.
Last night (10 September), Ubisoft and Watch Dogs: Legion confirmed that Stormzy has joined the Resistance, and will appear in the game.
Stormzy will have his own in-game mission called Fall On My Enemies, which will see players helping the rapper to secure a national broadcast for him to play his music. It will also include a motion-captured music video for Stormzy’s Heavy Is The Head track "Rainfall", part of which is shown in the Stormzy reveal trailer below.
Creative director Clint Hocking explained that Stormzy's name came up "over and over again" when developers asked Londoners to put forward an artist that represents the game's main themes.
Stormzy said of his involvement, "I am proud and honoured to announce that I am a part of Watch Dogs: Legion. You lot are about to have your minds blown. What they have done in terms of recreating London is the most insane, epic, incredible thing I’ve ever seen, so I’m honoured to be a part of it."
