Silicon announces debut album Personal Computer and streams new single "Burning Sugar"
New Zealand multi-instrumentalist Kody Nielson, AKA Silicon, has announced details of his debut album Personal Computer, and is streaming its second single "Burning Sugar".
The single follows the fantastically titled "God Emoji" (released earlier this year) and continues to blend electronic funk, soul and hazy vocals in an innovative and captivating way. To coincide with the album's release, a series of 29 paintings of Neilson's 'Emoji' icon will be exhibited in New York and London before going on sale.
Kody Neilson is the brother of Unknown Mortal Orchestra's Ruban Neilson, and was credited with co-writing and co-producing their latest album Multi-Love.
Personal Computer will be released through Weird World on 28 August.
