Sex Pistols launch "God Save The Queen" commemorative coin to mark Platinum Jubilee
Sex Pistols have released their own "God Save The Queen" commemorative coin to celebrate the re-release of their 1977 single ahead of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee this week.
Last Friday (27 May) Sex Pistols reissued their "God Save The Queen" single to coincide with Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee (3 June), after originally releasing the anti-royalist song in her Silver Jubilee year.
Today (30 May) Sex Pistols have launched their own nickel-plated Pistol Mint Commemorative Coin, which includes Jamie Reid’s iconic Union Jack flag design on the front and Reid's depiction of the Queen with a lip piercing on the back.
The coin comes in a cushioned sapphire velvet box, and front face is embossed in silver. Sex Pistols' commemorative coin, which is only available to buy in June, also arrives with a bonus NFT that can be redeemed via The Pistol Mint.
