Secret 7" returns for 2015 at Somerset House
The annual Secret 7" project has revealed plans for 2015. Taking place in April, at the new home of Somerset House, the month long exhibition will feature 700 one-of-a-kind original records/sleeves.
The project involves seven tracks, by seven artisits, each pressed 100 times - each record is then given an individual sleeve, as designed by 700 different creatives. The 700 records are then displayed at Somerset House before going on sale on 4 May.
Sleeve design submissions are now open until 4 March. Previous artists and designers involved in the project have included Gilbert and George, Sir Antony Gormley, Kate Moross and many more.
The seven tracks for 2015 are:
The Rolling Stones – "Dead Flowers"
Diana Ross & The Supremes – "Reflections"
Underworld – "Born Slippy (Nuxx)"
The Chemical Brothers – "Let Forever Be"
St. Vincent – "Digital Witness"
Peter Gabriel – "Sledgehammer"
The Maccabees – "Go"
For the fourth year, Universal Music UK is a partner of Secret 7". All profits go to Nordoff Robbins, a music therapy charity for vulnerable children and adults.
