Sasha Siem announces debut album Most Of The Boys, shares new track "So Polite"
Anglo-Norwegian popsmith Sasha Siem has announced the release of debut album Most Of The Boys and a new single called "So Polite".
New track "So Polite" is a bombastic blend of baroque-pop, steampunk rhythms and Regina Spektor-style quirk, which she describes as "a rage against fakery, against fear, against hiding the truth and the isolation that can come when community and true care between people is missing". It's rather different from the classical leanings of "My Friend".
Most Of The Boys is out 2 March via Blue Plum Records. It's produced by Valgeir Sigurðsson (Sigur Rós, Bjork, Feist) and was recorded at Reykjavík’s Greenhouse Studios.
Siem will also play a headline show at The Lexington on 25 March.
