Samm Henshaw announces debut album with Keyon Harrold collaboration "Still Broke"
Samm Henshaw is back with news of his long-awaited debut album Untidy Soul, and has teamed up with jazz trumpeter Heyon Harrold on the lead outing "Still Broke".
"Still Broke" is Henshaw's first release of 2021, following December 2020's "All Good", and sees him team up with jazz trumpeter Keyon Harrold.
Henshaw says of the new single, "When I wrote "Still Broke" I’d just been dropped from my label and broken up with my girlfriend right around the same time. It’s a song about how you can have everything you want in the world but still feel quite empty, and how success is actually internal - which is a lesson I’d needed to learn."
Untidy Soul is largely produced by longtime collaborator Josh Grant, who also worked with Henshaw on "Church", "How Does It Feel" and more.
