Sam Smith claims they "100% had" coronavirus despite not getting tested
In a new interview, Sam Smith has revealed that they "100% had" COVID-19, but reveals they never got tested for the virus.
Speaking to Zane Lowe on his Apple Music Beats 1 show, Smith revealed that they had experienced symptoms and is convinced that they definitely had the virus.
They told Lowe, "I didn’t get tested but I know I had it. 100% had it. Everything I’ve read completely pointed to that. So yeah, I think I definitely had it."
Smith reveals that they have been isolating with their sister, and after Smith experienced symptoms of coronavirus, their sister also caught it, resulting in the siblings quarantining themselves for three weeks.
In March, Smith postponed the release of their third album - which was originally titled To Die For. Smith released the album's title-track (before renaming it) "To Die For" in February.
Smith wrote in his statement that they "feel that the title of my album and imminent release doesn't feel right, so I have come to the decision to continue working on the album and make some important changes and additions."
