Ross From Friends delivers new song "Love Divide"
Ross From Friends has released a second taster of his upcoming Tread album in the form of new song "Love Divide".
"Love Divide" is the second track to be shared from Ross From Friends' new album, landing after last month's lead ouuting "The Daisy".
Tread will be Ross From Friends' second album, after 2018's Family Portrait, and came together after he built his own plugin called Thresho. Thresho (available via Ableton's Max For Live platform) begins recording when the audio "hits a user-defined threshold", and automatically saves the clips with timestamps, meaning Felix Clary Weatherall was free to experiment without needing to replay or recapture any parts.
He spent the first six months just experimenting with his plugin, and when he started composing the album later, his Thresho software allowed him to revisit a vast library of sounds and select specific moments. He says, "Sometimes a whole tune could come from an idea within a recording or sometimes I’d just dump a random recording into an existing project and see what happens."
