Robyn launches new technology festival in Stockholm
Swedish pop force Robyn is helming a new festival in Sweden called Tekla, aimed at getting teenage girls interested in traditionally male-oriented industries.
Speaking about the event, Robyn said that "Tekla is a festival for girls in which they get to sample different areas of future technology in what I believe will be a fun and imaginative environment.”
Tekla is set to feature a range of activities, lectures, demonstrations and workshops, including fun events with robotics and 3D printers, as well as a headline performance from Robyn herself.
It's brought together with the help of the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), which recently awarded Robyn a prize for being "“a person who, through epoch-making discoveries and the creation of new values and by ingenious applications of findings gained on the practical aspects of life, promotes Sweden’s continued material progress."
Tekla takes place in Stockholm on 18 April. For more information, head here.
