Rihanna has joined the cast of Annette, the first English-language movie from acclaimed French director Leos Carax, according to Variety.
The film is a musical drama with script and songs from legendary glam-pop experimentalists Sparks. Adam Driver (Kylo Ren) is also set to star; Rooney Mara was originally announced but has since departed from the project.
Annette is due to begin filming in Los Angeles and other locations this spring. Amazon will be distributing the flick in the USA and Canada.

Rihanna's latest album ANTI was released last year.
