Secretly Canadian musician Richard Swift has been in hospital receiving "excellent care", but is lacking insurance. A fundraiser has been launched to help with costs.
Richard Swift's Facebook page revealed yesterday (19 June) that the musician has been in hospital "due to a serious medical condition".
The multi-instrumentalist and former Shins member is without medical insurance, but has been recovering in Tacoma Washington with "excellent care".
His Facebook page also launched a GoFundMe campaign to help with the steep medical costs. The goal is $100,000.
Co-founder of Secretly Group, Chris Swanson, also showed his support on Twitter, stating "He’s fighting v hard."
One of my best friends is in deep need. He’s been hospitalized for a few wks. He is w/o insurance. I’m hopeful he will come thru, but there is uncertainty. He’s fighting v hard. If u know him or his art, u know he believes in beauty & the ineffable. https://t.co/SgVTZg8gBv
