Quasi sign to Sub Pop and confirm they're working on a new album
Quasi, the project of former Sleater-Kinney member Janet Weiss and Sam Coomes, have signed to Sub Pop and have confirmed that they're working on a new record.
Aside from sharing a quarantine demo in 2020 titled "Rotten Wrock", Quasi haven't released new music since 2013's Mole City album, but this afternoon (21 March) the duo, made up of ex Sleater-Kinney member Janet Weiss, and Sam Coomes, have signed to Sub Pop.
The press release confirms that Quasi are currently working on their first album for Sub Pop, which will be their first in nine years. Quasi also confirmed news of the album, and wrote on Instagram, "We are utterly thrilled (but looking tough in this photo, right?) and can't wait to share details about the new record soon."
