Pussy Riot's "БЕСИТ / RAGE" video shoot got shut down by Russian police
Over the weekend, protest group Pussy Riot had another unfortunate run-in with the Russian police, who apparently shut down their video shoot for new single "БЕСИТ / RAGE".
The group were shooting the music video for new single "БЕСИТ / RAGE" in St Petersburg yesterday (9 February), which is "dedicated to a pain that we - feminists and the queer people - feel being the enemies of the state."
According to Pussy Riot, Russian police "broke into the location" and accused the group of "gay propaganda" and "extremism", and cut off the electricity at the location to prevent them from carrying on.
In the description of the video, Pussy Riot add, "We have spent $15k on the video production, and that's been ruined by the cops today - because of the absurd "gay propaganda" law, and we'll be thankful if you share this info and/or be kind enough to help us to raise the money to make this video happen anyway."
