PJ Harvey to debut new material at London Literary Festival
PJ Harvey is set to debut new material at the London Literary Festival, taking place the Southbank Centre, later this year.
This will include world premieres of poetry from her upcoming book The Hollow Of The Hand, as well as "new songs", performed by Harvey with John Parish and James Johnston.
Earlier this year, Harvey recorded parts of her upcoming ninth LP in front of a live audience at a Somerset House exhibition, and it seems that the two-time Mercury Award winner will perform some of the finished results of the festival.
The Hollow Of The Hand is a project with frequent collaborator Seamus Murphy, a renowned photographer, and it chronicles Harvey's explorations of the globe in 224 pages, with images courtesy of Murphy.
The new anthology is expected to be released this October via Bloomsbury; there's been no official announcement regarding the release of Harvey's upcoming record.
More information about the festival and the programme can be found on the venue's website. Other performances include a four-day live reading of Moby Dick, a discussion with Terry Gilliam, and readings from Liza Klaussmann, Chibundu Onuzo and A L Kennedy.
Harvey's performance at the London Literary Festival takes place 9-10 October. Tickets are on sale now.
