Pigs x7 announce new album with lead single "Reducer"
Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs have announced their new LP Viscerals, alongside sharing the opening track "Reducer".
"Reducer" is the group's first new single since releasing their King of Cowards album in 2018.
The band says of the new track, "This is the first taste of our new album Viscerals. It's called "Reducer" and it has a very strong flavour. It's one of the songs that came together quickest during the writing process. It's immediate and unruly and has that cathartic edge we seek out from the music we make together. It's going to be a hell of a lot of fun to play live. Let's rock."
Explaining the process behind their forthcoming LP, guitarist Adam Ian Sykes says, "We booked dates in Sam’s (Grant, guitarist) studio before we’d written 80% of the album. We definitely thrive under pressure. It’s stressful but that stress seems to manifest itself in a positive way."
Grant says of their Viscerals album, "Viscerals is a reflection of many things I guess. It’s the internal; it’s our health and physicality; it’s bodily and unseen; it’s essence that forgoes intellect; and it’s not a real word!"
