Phoebe Bridgers releases Punisher album early and encourages donations to charities
Phoebe Bridgers has released her highly-anticipated second album Punisher a day early, and has encouraged fans to donate to multiple charities before listening to the LP.
Punisher, Bridgers' second album, was originally due to land tomorrow (19 June). Instead of delaying the release with the ongoing Black Lives Matter protests, Bridgers has released the record a day early, writing, "I’m not pushing the record until things go back to "normal" because I don’t think they should. Here it is a little early. Abolish the police. Hope you like it."

The link Bridgers has posted lists seven organisations to donate to, with the option to listen to Punisher at the bottom of the list. The organisations she's encouraging fans to donate to include Movement for Black Lives, Stop LAPD Spying Coalition, the Downtown Women’s Center, the Trevor Project, and more.
Punisher features Bridgers' band - Marshall Vore (drums), Harrison Whitford (guitar), Emily Retsas (bass) and Nick White (piano) - as well as guest contributions from Conor Oberst, Lucy Dacus, Julien Baker, Blake Mills, Warpaint's Jenny Lee Lindberg, Christian Lee Hutson, Nick Zinner, Jim Keltner, and Bright Eyes' Nathaniel Walcott, who plays horns on "Kyoto".
