Perfume Genius has shared "Go Ahead", another new single from upcoming record No Shape.
The track follows last month's outstanding lead single "Slip Away". "Go Ahead" doesn't hurtle to the same dizzying heights at the same breakneck pace - instead Perfume Genius, aka Mike Hadreas, opts to show off a more subdued side. Galloping percussion, funk parps, and soulful, emotive vocals take centre stage here; it's a vastly different beast to "Slip Away" but it's no less brilliant.
Perfume Genius has a lot of shows coming up this summer, including a slot at this year's End Of The Road Festival. Find the full list on perfumegenius.org.
No Shape is out 5 May via Matador. You can pre-order now.
