Olly Alexander to perform "exclusive" song during YouTube Pride event this month
Years & Years' Olly Alexander has confirmed a performance of an "exclusive" song as part of the YouTube Pride party taking place later this month.
Later this month Olly Alexander will host a YouTube Pride party on his channel alongside Mawaan Rizwan as part of the YouTube Pride 2021 livestream that will feature Demi Lovato, Trixie Mattel, Daniel Howell and more.
According to NME, Alexander revealed he will perform an "exclusive" song for the event. He said, "We’ll be chatting to some gorgey people from the community, there will be live music surprises and, yes, I will be performing an exclusive song."
The YouTube Pride party livestream event will raise money for LGBTQ+ youth homelessness charity akt in the UK, and The Trevor Project in the US.
The event is aiming to raise money for The Trevor Project in the US; in the UK money raised will go to akt – a charity that supports LGBTQ+ people who are in a hostile living environment or are homeless.
In April Alexander unveiled his first solo Years & Years single "Starstruck", and later released a remix of the track featuring Kylie Minogue.
