Oliver Wilde is back with a grand new track called "Bifida"
Oliver Wilde has today shared a brand new track called "Bifida".
The Bristol-based multi-instrumentalist/producer announced the new song this morning via Twitter:
Good morning, here is a new song what I did, sorry xxhttps://t.co/QB62OEkNkZ
— Oliver Wilde (@Oliver_Wilde) April 7, 2016
"Bifida" is a lo-fi psych with grand ambitions - it's got emotive string sections, theremin-sounding melodies, Wilde's signature vocal distortion, and a shuddering, semi-post-rock climax. The lyrics are characteristically cryptic; the title "Bifida", translated from Latin, means 'split', is most commonly linked with Spina Bifida.
Wilde's keeping schtum on if this is a one-off release or if it's heralding a new record, but if anything longer does emerge, it'll follow 2014's Red Tide Opal In The Loose End Womb and 2013 debut A Brief Introduction To Unnatural Lightyears.
