Octavian reveals he's "quitting music"
BBC Sound of 2019 winner Octavian has announced he's "quitting music" after being dropped by his label Black Butter last year.
This week Octavian has revealed he's "quitting music" in a post shared on Instagram. He wrote, "All this negativity is draining. Innocent or not doesn’t matter in my city. Not in a good place. Thank you to everyone who kept me mentally stable, thank you for all of your love. Thank you for your patience. Forever grateful. Going away for now. Will see you soon."

His decision to step back from music comes after the BBC Sound of 2019 winner was accused of abusing his former partner physically, verbally and psychologically the day before he planned to release his debut album Alpha in November last year.
The allegations, which Octavian has denied, resulted in his debut album being pulled, and the rapper was dropped by his label Black Butter.
