Tony McCarroll, best known as being a founding member and drummer for Oasis, has thanked the NHS after "suffering a heart attack" last week.
Yesterday (30 August) afternoon, McCarroll, who was a founding member of Oasis and stayed as the band's drummer from 1991 to April 1995, revealed on Twitter that he was "admitted to hospital on Thursday after suffering a heart attack on Wednesday night."
McCarroll continued, "I’m not quite out of the woods as yet but just want to give a massive big up to our #NHS We are more than fortunate to have such a service! Thank you!!"

The drummer contributed to Oasis' Definitely Maybe album and the group's first UK Number One single "Some Might Say", which featured on their second album (What's the Story) Morning Glory?.
McCarroll was replaced by Alan White in 1995, who stayed with Oasis until 2004.
Four years after being dismissed from Oasis, McCarroll sued the band for £18 million, and later accepted £550,000 as part of an out-of-court settlement and agreed to give up royalties from Oasis songs.
