It looks like Normani is finally getting ready to release new music after she shared a snippet of a new song that includes a sample of Aaliyah's 1996 song "One In A Million".

Although Normani hasn't released new music since collaborating with Megan Thee Stallion on the Birds of Prey soundtrack single "Diamonds" over a year ago, she has been busy working on her highly-anticipated debut album throughout the pandemic.

The last update came in October last year, when she told Teen Vogue, "When God tells me that it’s done, then it’ll be done. I’ll feel it, you know?"

On Saturday (13 February), Normani finally uploaded a teaser for a new song on socials, writing, "know it’s been awhile."

The beat of Normani's new song features a sample of Aaliyah's Timbaland-produced 1996 song "One In A Million".

Last month (27 January) The-Dream, known for his work with Rihanna, Beyoncé, Snoop Dogg and more revealed he had been working with Normani on new music. He wrote on Twitter, "Normani X The-Dream. We been at it all Day! Shit sounds Fire ass fuck!"

As well as working with Megan Thee Stallion last year, Dua Lipa revealed in May 2020 that she has collaborated with Normani on a track.

Normani is yet to reveal the title and release date for the track she teased on social media.
