Nicki Minaj was being "sarcastic" about her collaboration with Adele
Nicki Minaj has revealed she was being "sarcastic" when she mentioned that she had a collaboration with Adele in the works.
On Tuesday (15 October), Nicki Minaj said at her Fendi Prints On fashion line launch in Beverly Hills, "Adele made me swear to secrecy that I'm not allowed to tell anyone that I'm working with her. And that we already shot a video. And it's an epic song! Ahh!"
Minaj has since revealed that she was being "sarcastic" when she said that, and the Adele collaboration isn't actually real. She wrote on Twitter, "Omg guys. I thought everyone could clearly see I was being sarcastic. Shit! Now I have to go to Adele’s studio & steal some files. Who’s in the UK? I got a job for you."

It's the second artist to reveal news of a fake Adele collaboration, after OneRepublics' Ryan Tedder joked that he had a collaboration on their next album with Beyoncé, Adele, and Chris Martin.
Adele has always been a fan of Nicki Minaj so their collaboration didn't seem far-fetched. Earlier this summer the singer was filmed rapping Minaj's "Monster" verse, and she definitely nailed it.
