Nick Cave says new album CARNAGE is "a brutal but very beautiful record"
Nick Cave has provided some more information about his new album with Warren Ellis called CARNAGE, revealing that it's "a brutal but very beautiful record".
Back in December last year, Cave revealed via his Q+A site The Red Hand Files that it was "time to make a record" after his 2021 tour dates were cancelled.
Last month he returned to The Red Hand Files to announce his new album CARNAGE, made with The Bad Seeds bandmate Warren Ellis.
Cave is yet to provide details about CARNAGE, but in the latest response on The Red Hand Files, he's provided a small bit of information about the album. A fan from Coatia asked, "We need more info about CARNAGE!". Cave responded, "More info? Okay. How about this? CARNAGE is a brutal but very beautiful record embedded in a communal catastrophe."
CARNAGE will follow Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds' 2019 album Ghosteen.
Last year Cave released his Idiot Prayer live album and film, which saw him perform at an empty Alexandra Palace during lockdown last summer.
