Alt-rock trio, Shellac have announced they’ll be dropping their fifth studio album sometime this year, what will be their first new material in six years.
The band’s frontman and leader, Steve Albini spilled the beans to The Quietus, telling the online publication that the threesome have finished their album (the follow up to 2007′s Excelent Italian Greyhound) and are currently working on it’s cover art.
The album’s eight to ten rough tracks were composed and been featured on Shellac’s live set for seven years.
