Nathaniel Rateliff announces debut EP, live shows and single with new band The Night Sweats
Nathaniel Rateliff has returned with a new band, The Night Sweats, as well as details of a new EP, single and tour dates. Busy times for Mr. Rateliff.
The EP's title track "Howling At Nothing", is drenched in balmy Americana vibes, Rateliff and his new troupe of merry musicians channel the US South to create a wonderfully summery tune capable of lifting any spirits to the rafters. It's soulful, twangy and splashed with some truly electrifying guitars.
Speaking about the EP, Rateliff said:
“These songs are about the struggles I’ve had in my life—drinking too much, that kind of crap... and then the relationships we all have. I’m not a great communicator in my personal life, so it’s funny to be writing songs that say the things that I’m never very good at saying.”
The Howling At Nothing EP is out via Stax/Caroline International on 29 June.
