Mystery Jets' Jack Flanagan shares new single "Curses"
Jack Flanagan of Mystery Jets has unveiled new cut "Curses" as the second preview of his debut solo album Rides The Sky.
After announcing Rides The Sky with the lead single "Skyhorse X Skyhorse" last month, Flanagan has returned with a second outing from his album titled "Curses".
The album opener was written with M.W Lynch, and was recorded, in Flanagan's own words, "in a time of chaos and extreme polarity. By day I was being dragged into born again Christian ceremonies in exchange for free living and by night reading the works of Aleister Crowley. I read a curse in this song. It nearly ruined me."
Rides The Sky features 12 tracks written over the last decade.
As well as sharing "Curses" today (7 April), Flanagan has confirmed a series of in-store performances in the UK across May, including one at London's Rough Trade East on 11 May.
