Jamie Lee, singer/songwriter/guitarist of MONEY, today shares "I Am Not Political", a poem written in reaction to the UK's decision to leave the EU.
"I used to think of romantic love as a kind of nationalism," the poem begins. "Yes, this is my love, and of course, it’s better than all the rest. I’ll fight for it, die for it even, in a house, in a nightclub, in my mind or in the grave; side by side... just whatever is nearest to me - I'll fill that with my love."
It's a pretty important listen given the timing of its release - check it out via the video below from artist/filmmaker Oliver Malin.
Lee is part of Team Best Fit for the upcoming Indie Music Cup with Shura and members of Slow Club, Gengahr, and Superfood. Find out more.
