Mogwai, Alvvays and more added to Belle And Sebastian's Boaty Weekender Festival line-up
Belle And Sebastian will take Mogwai, Alvvays, Kelly Lee Owens and more on a four-day cruise festival in the Mediterranean next summer.
The Boaty Weekender curated by Belle And Sebastian has announced its first wave of performers joining them on the four-day cruise from Barcelona to Cagliari in Sardinia.
Mogwai, Alvvays, Kelly Lee Owens, Django Django, The Buzzcocks, Nilüfer Yanya, Whyte Horses, Tracyanne and Danny and Honeyblood are the first acts to be announced.
Belle And Sebastian explain in their statement, “It’s the start of September, Belle And Sebastian are facing the autumn term, back in the studio, back to the blackboard, sharpening their plectrums, already dreaming of next summer. If only there was something to look forward to, a party, an adventure, something on the horizon, something to take the chill out of the thought of winter..."
The results are a luxurious four-day cruise around the Med in the peak of summer next year.
The Boaty Weekender will have five stages on board, and will see artists give their fans exclusive insights with intimate Q+A's, unlikely collaborations, panel sessions and more.
Those that book the first 350 staterooms will get access to a special performance of Belle And Sebastian's 2000 album Fold Your Hands Child, You Walk Like a Peasant, which still hasn't been performed in its entirety live.
