Mitski returns with new single "Working for the Knife"
Mitski has returned with new single "Working for the Knife", which is, in Mitski's words, about "going from being a kid with a dream, to a grown up with a job, and feeling that somewhere along the way you got left behind".
"Working for the Knife" is the first new outing from Mitski since her This Is Where We Fall graphic novel soundtrack inn May, and is accompanied by Zia Anger-directed video.
Mitski says of the new release produced by Patrick Hyland, "It’s about going from being a kid with a dream, to a grown up with a job, and feeling that somewhere along the way you got left behind. It’s being confronted with a world that doesn’t seem to recognize your humanity, and seeing no way out of it."
