Mew announce new album +-, stream lead single "Satellites"
Danish "stadium indie" outfit Mew have announced their first full LP in six years. +- ('Plus Minus') will arrive this April, but you can stream lead single "Satellites" now.
The record follows the more-than-a-mouthful No More Stories Are Told Today, I’m Sorry They Washed Away // No More Stories, The World is Grey, I’m Tired, Let’s Wash Away, released in 2009 before the band went on an extended hiatus.
+- will be released 27 April via Play It Again Sam; "Satellites" is released 9 March separately. It's been recorded in Copenhagen, with Michael Beinhorn and Mew on production duties and longtime collaborator Rich Costey mixing. The LP also features a collaboration with Bloc Party guitarist Russell Lissack: "My Complications" is a song that they "co-wrote which came to fruition having met on a US tour some years ago."
The band are also set to embark upon a May European tour, including three UK dates in London, Manchester and Glasgow. Tickets are on sale 23 January at 9am, or via a limited pre-sale here on 21 January.
