Metronomy have marked the two-year anniversary of their latest album Metronomy Forever by telling fans "there's normally a Metronomy album every two to three years".

Two years ago today (13 September) Metronomy released their Metronomy Forever album, and this afternoon Metronomy commemorated the record on Twitter by hinting that there may be new music in the works.

After wishing their latest record a happy birthday, Metronomy wrote, "Finally, If you look through the Metronomy discography you’ll see that there’s normally a Metronomy album every 2 to 3 years."

In July Anna Prior, who drums for Metronomy, released her debut solo single "Thank You For Nothing".

Back in April Metronomy released the 10th anniversary edition of their The English Riviera album with six previously unheard bonus tracks.
