Metric go for malevolent cyber-Americana on new single "Lie Lie Lie"
Metric have revealed "Lie Lie Lie", another taster of forthcoming sixth long-player Pagans In Vegas.
It's a tad distracting that the opening bears a bizarre resemblance to Norman Greenbaum's "Spirit In The Sky", but that's fleeting - the Canadian troupe soon lunge into a futuristic slice of malevolent Americana. It's less out-and-out pop that the other cuts on their upcoming LP, and the seething energy is a welcome contrast.
Pagans In Vegas is released 18 September via MMI.
