Martha pave the way for their second album with "Goldman's Detective Agency"
Martha, the punk four-piece from Pity Me, Durham have announced the release of their second album with a new track.
"Goldman's Detective Agency" is Martha's happy-go-lucky punk aesthetic at its most blistering. Cynical, even scathing in places, the track races though contagious hooks with an upbeat energy, reaching a climax in a chorus of anthemic proportions.
The follow-up to debut record Courting Strong, Blisters In The Pit Of My Heart sees the band once again join forces with producer MJ (Hookworms).
"This record is for everyone who leads a secret double life, devoting every weekend, every day of annual leave, all of their disposable income, every drop of creative energy to something as ethereal as music and art," drummer Nathan Griffin explained to DIY. "It’s about persevering and still doing the things you love, even when most normal people can’t understand why on earth you do it."
Martha will perform at Tufnell Park Dome, London on 22 July. Tickets for the show are on sale now.
