Manchester mayor says Eminem's lyrics about Ariana Grande concert bombing are "deeply disrespectful"
Manchester mayor Andy Burnham has said Eminem's lyrics about the 2017 arena bomb attack are "deeply disrespectful".
Last Friday (17 January), Eminem surprise-released his new album Music To Be Murdered By.
One of the tracks, "Unaccommodating", sees Eminem rap: "I'm contemplating yelling 'bombs away' on the game / Like I'm outside of an Ariana Grande concert waiting."
The rapper received criticism for his lyrics, and now Manchester mayor Andy Burnham has shared his thoughts on the track. He told BBC News, "This is unnecessarily hurtful and deeply disrespectful to the families and all those affected."
22 people died at the Manchester Arena bomb attack back in 2017 that took place after an Ariana Grande concert.
Back in 2017, The Telegraph reported that the rapper did raise nearly £2million for Manchester Arena bomb attack victims.
