Madonna is collaborating with Juno writer Diablo Cody on a new screenplay

Madonna has revealed that she's been collaborating with Oscar-winning writer Diablo Cody on a new screenplay.

Last Friday (7 August), Madonna shared a new video on Instagram that sees her working with the Juno and Jennifer's Body writer from a sofa.

Madonna captioned the post, "When you’re stuck in a house with multiple injuries what do you do.? ...........Write a Screenplay with Diablo Cody about............."

The clip sees Madonna and Cody speaking about music and costume ideas for the project, but Madonna is yet to reveal what the screenplay is actually about.

Variety notes that fans are speculating if the screenplay is a biopic of Madonna's career as Madonna describes her iconic Jean Paul Gaultier cone-bra costume from the 1990 Blond Ambition tour to Cody.

Cody won an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for 2007's Juno film, and has since written films including Jennifer's Body and Tully.

Madonna will feature on a new remix of Dua Lipa's "Levitating" song by The Blessed Madonna alongside Missy Elliott this Friday (14 August).
