M.I.A wants a hologram of Julian Assange at her live shows
Having recently performed live with Janelle Monae via hologram, M.I.A. discussed the prospect of additional holographic performances in a new interview with Time Out.
Speaking to the London publication, the singer said that while she would generally rule out other artist collabs, she would like to have a hologram of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange (currently in exile at the Ecuadorian embassy) at her concerts.
“I’m really boring like that. That’s an American hip-hop thing [on-stage collaborations], and I want a whole bunch of other shit,” she said. “It would be nice to have a hologram of Julian Assange”.
M.I.A has previously invited Assange to address her audience via video message in the past, opening one of her New York shows. You can see footage of that beneath:
