Lorde has been teaching herself piano and is "not sure how long it’ll be" for her third album
In a newsletter sent out to fans, Lorde has revealed she's been teaching herself piano, and is enjoying "living quietly and simply" while slowly building towards her third record.
It's been two years since Lorde released her sophomore record Melodrama, and this week in her fan newsletter she has revealed that she's "happy here at home, living quietly and simply, eating toast, going for walks, swimming."
The newsletter reveals that Lorde has been teaching herself piano, and, although she hasn't started working on her third record just yet, she has revealed that the piano could play a fundamental role in the next project, "I think this next one will probably be born around the piano in my house, me and my friends, keeping it simple."
Lorde's newsletter goes on to detail her emotions after completing her recent world tour, which she described as, "an overwhelming mix of relief, gratitude, mourning, elation, and exhaustion."
The singer/songwriter's last world tour saw her perform some tracks in a suspended clear box above the stage. The Guardian reported that Lorde called out Kanye West and Kid Cudi earlier this month for "stealing" her design, after their debut performance as Kids See Ghosts at Camp Flog Gnaw.
