Lorde fans think new music is imminent after she updates Facebook profile photo
With Lorde expected to make her return this year, fans were quick to spot that she's updated her Facebook profile picture, a potential hint that new music might be landing soon.
In December last year Lorde announced a new photo book documenting her 2019 trip to Antarctica. She visited the continent after becoming more environmentally aware and reigniting a childhood fascination with the continent. Shortly after in an interview with New Zealand’s Newshub, Lorde confirmed that her long-awaited third album does have a title, and was inspired by her 2019 Antarctica trip.
Overnight Lorde fans started going wild after the New Zealand star updated her Facebook profile picture. The image shows a blurry Lorde running away from the camera on a sandy/rocky terrain. According to Dork, the image is taken from Lorde's Melodrama album booklet.
It might not be much to go by, but when artists update their social media images it's usually an indicator that they may be about to return with new music, and obviously Lorde fans aren't holding back on this update.
