London's Lovebox Festival is cancelled this year because of the coronavirus pandemic
London's Lovebox Festival has pulled this summer's event following concerns over the coronavirus pandemic.
The London festival was due to take place at Hounslow's Gunnersbury Park from 12-14 June. 2020 was meant to be the first time the festival was due to run across three days rather than two.
Tyler, The Creator, FKA Twigs, Charli XCX, Jorja Smith, Disclosure, Anderson .Paak, Peggy Gou, Hot Chip, and more were due to perform, but today (27 March), Lovebox have released a statement detailing their decision to cancel the 2020 event.
They write, "It is with a heavy heart that we must announce that Lovebox 2020 will no longer be taking place this year. We've been closely monitoring this unprecedented situation and it has become clear that it's just not possible for this year's festival to go ahead."
Lovebox's statement adds, "We will be back stronger than ever on 11th-13th June 2021 and we hope to see you all then for our three-day celebration of summer."
Ticketholders have the option to retain their 2020 ticket for next year. They say ticketing partners will contact buyers about processing refunds soon.
