Little Simz shares fourth album title, will release first single "Introvert" later this week
Little Simz has shared the title of her highly-anticipated fourth album, as well as confirming that the first single "Introvert" is arriving later this week.
After teasing new music coming "at the end of the month" and sharing images from London's Natural History Museum on socials earlier this month, Little Simz has unveiled the title of her fourth album in a new interview with The Observer.
Simz's fourth album is called Sometimes I Might Be Introvert, and is due for feature 19 tracks with spoken-word interludes. The album will follow 2019's GREY Area, which was nominated for the Mercury Prize Award in the same year.
According to The Observer, the rapper started working on her fourth album in LA right before the pandemic hit with producer Inflo (and later went to Berlin to finish the record), and is described in the piece as a "Wizard of Oz-style quest as Simz confronts her fears and counts her blessings."
Little Simz also discussed her feelings around the pandemic restrictions easing, with a festival-filled summer potentially on the cards, "You come out of it, and it’s like, oh shit, now I’ve gotta perform it, and everyone’s gonna know how I really feel ... It is a lot, but at the same time, it is super freeing. I feel like I’m ready to gooooo for it. I’m charged."
The piece also reveals that the first single from her album, titled "Introvert", is arriving later this week.
