Listen to Manic Street Preachers’ “Europa Geht Durch Mich” as reworked by Erol Alkan
Manic Street Preachers’ new album Futurology is due out this summer, and they’ve just shared a track from a forthcoming promotional 12” single for “Europa Geht Duhr Mich” as reworked by Erol Alkan.
The single will feature two versions of the track, each of which sluiced through Alkan’s hands, the “Mesmerise Eins Rework” and “Memsmerise Zwei Rework.” “Zwei” has been shared for streaming, and it sees Alkan stripping the original tune down to a pulsing beat and warps guest vocalist Nina Hoss’s melodies to a trippy, psychedelic wail. Check it out below.
The single is currently without a release date, but is available for preorder here. Futurology is out 7 July in the UK via Columbia (15 July in the US).
