You can now stream Childish Gambino's leftfield record "Awaken, My Love!" - it's a curveball release that moves away from the hip-hop tones of before.

We'd already heard two of the album's tracks - the majestic psych-funk odyssey "Me and Your Mama" and diamond-encrusted synth-soul charmer "Redbone". This 11-strong collection takes the ideas on those singles and sprints into the distance.

Back in September Gambino, aka Donald Glover, played a series of impressive events called PHAROS in Joshua Tree, California - this was the first time fans could experience "Awaken, My Love!". You can check out part of this sensational show on Gambino's PHAROS Earth app.

Before this new LP, Gambino's last release was 2014 mixtape STN MTN/KAUAI, and his last record was 2013's Because The Internet. Since he last released music, Gambino returned to TV with acclaimed FX series Atlanta.
