Listen to a new track from MØ called "New Year's Eve"
MØ's catapulted out a fresh new cut called "New Year's Eve". It's quite the jaw-dropper.
MØ's output has been generally of the floor-filling variety, but this new turn melds dusty synths, clarinets and piano riffs. It's a pensive, reflective endeavour with a bittersweet timbre and oodles of autotune; juxtaposed against raucous imagery of shindigs worldwide, it's a pretty harrowing, spine-tingling cut.
Delivering the track via Facebook, MØ said; "NEW SONG ALERT: As a thanks to all of you who've been supporting me in 2014 here's a new song! Have a GREEEEEEAT new year y'all"
The accompanying video features clips from party scenes in blockbuster flicks, and opens with a lovely shot of John Travolta, interspersed between webcam footage of MØ herself flouting fire safety regulations.
