Spanish-born, Montreal-based artist Iris is solidifying her early rep as a pop bulldozer with new single "Follow Me".
Previous single "I'll Wait With You" was described by us as "an addictive, heart-warming '70s pop belter laced with slappy, slippery bass grooves, modern synthpop melodies and the fizzing coo of [Iris]'s Haim-esque vox."
This new tune is a thematic evolution, transforming those Fleetwood Mac-isms into gigantic Michael Jackson motifs and '80s glamour. Synth choirs, hefty basslines and genuine swagger all coalesce for a second outing grander than the first.
"Follow Me" is released today via Cult Nation, and you can grab it on iTunes now. Iris's upcoming debut EP is set for release this Autumn.
