Lethal Bizzle and more announced as mentors for this years' Nando's Music Exchange workshop
Lethal Bizzle, Tkay Maidza, Sho Madjozi and Nathaniel Motte will mentor at the Roundhouse, Camden in June for the fourth Nando's Music Exchange - a programme that helps emerging musicians develop their careers through global two-way exchanges and collaboration.
Bizzle will be joined by three established artists: rapper and published poet Sho Madjozi from South Africa; Australian rapper Tkay Maidza; and representing Canada, Nathaniel Motte, best known as one half of popular duo 3OH!3.
Together, the musicians will lend their expertise to 38 talented participants who were chosen from more than 150 applicants from the UK, South Africa, Australia and Canada as they are tasked with producing a track from scratch at the Roundhouse Young Creatives studio in Camden. Participants will also hear from industry experts at specially curated panel talks, with further names to be announced across the four days.
"I’ve benefitted from my own mentors over the years such as Richard Antwi, so it’s good to have the opportunity to share what I’ve learnt with the next generation of artists," Bizzle says. "I’m especially looking forward to seeing what happens when talent from all over the world gets together in a studio to make music from scratch."
Previous mentors include Stormzy, Ella Eyre, Little Simz, Dope St Jude and Example. Members of the public will be given the opportunity to attend panel talks with industry experts and talent on 7 June and ticket information will be announced in the coming weeks.
