Lana Del Rey has uploaded a verse from a poem titled "Happy" on her Instagram.

Last year, the Norman Fucking Rockwell singer revealed she was working on a poetry book titled Violet Bent Backwards Over The Grass.

On Saturday (29 February), Lana Del Rey shared an image of an excerpt from a poem that ends on the word "Happy".

And when you call I put your sweater on and put you on speaker and chat for hours underneath the trees and think about the last time you were lying next to me how the noise from the cars got louder and louder during rush hour until it sounded like a river or a stream and it felt like we were swimming but it wasn’t just a dream we were just happy

Before Christmas, Lana Del Rey also announced a "freestyle poetry" spoken word album for release in January, which was then delayed after a robbery over the holidays.

Del Rey's new poem excerpt lands after she cancelled her European and UK tour dates due to illness last month.

There's still no confirmed release date for Lana Del Rey's poem, poetry book, or "freestyle poetry" album. She plays Glastonbury 2020 in June. Find out more.
