
Lana Del Rey shares clip of new track, reveals she's been working on poetry book
Lana Del Rey has shared a clip of a new track arriving next week, as well as revealing her plans to release a poetry book she's been "writing over the last 13 months".
2019 is here, and Lana Del Rey seems to be moving full steam ahead as she teases fans with new music and plans for this year.
Posting to socials, Del Rey shared a clip of new track "hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have- but i have it", stating that the full track will be released on 9 January, one day later than her original plans she teased last week.
She also revealed a side project she's been working on, "Also as of last week I finished a short book of poetry I’ve been writing over the last 13 months that I’ll be putting out later."
Del Rey also broke the news that she will be cancelling some live performances in the near future, "I’d like to apologize in advance for upcoming cancellations of shows you’ll be hearing about– I wish I could fulfill those obligations but I won’t be able to."

Del Rey returned in September with new single "Mariners Apartment Complex", before releasing second single "Venice Bitch" in October. She also teased a track called "Sylvia Plath" the same month, which is still yet to be released. The two released singles are taken from her forthcoming sixth album Norman Fucking Rockwell, which she worked on with Jack Antonoff.
